Tennessee

Wade and I have always had the itch to move outside where we grew up (the beautiful central coast of California). We considered Texas and even bought a rental house there thinking that’s where we were going to land. On a whim we flew out to Nashville for our friend’s birthday, never considering this would be somewhere to move. We spent two days in Nashville and two days in Leipers Fork. As we drove through the picturesque country roads dotted with farmhouses and round hay bales, I knew in my heart this was home. Fast forward a year, COVID hit and we learned how the world can change in an instant. This realization led us to our ‘don’t wait’ attitude’. We’d always wanted to move, so why wait? There were actually a lot of reasons not to move - family, business, friends. But we felt this indescribable pull to do it. So in 30 days we bought a house, organized our life (the best we could - ha!), and moved our family across the country. Not a day goes by Wade and I are not filled with gratitude. Life is funny like that; it always works out.

“In 20 years you will be more disappointed by what you didn’t do than what you did” - Mark Twain.

This is not to say there haven’t been challenges in the move; it’s a lot of change, but those challenges have been worth it. Growing opportunities as Wade and I call them. We’re grateful to be making this little corner of the world our home.

xx A
